Battery testers (again)

Link does not work

If it is a drop tester I had issues. Drop tester said all was fine. It was not

Took batteries off charge, left a load on for an hour ( fridges and lights ) disconnected them all and volt tested. Failed batteries were obvious.

The one I used was owned by Boats.co.uk.

It was a BIG bosche tester. It had a heating element in it ( to consume current) and really pounded the batteries. However for whatever reason they all passed.

As below - no charger and a load for an hour and the duds were obvious. This surprised me - the machine was a good one etc but batteries fail in all sorts of ways i suppose.

That looks small so I dont know how much energy it can draw ( the principal seems to be give it a huge load and see what happens!)

Yes I have experience with these testers.
If you have time here is a very good vid that explains everything
My one is the Solar 9 because it also tests alternators
Let me give my example. My car electronics occasionally tell me that my battery is bad, now this could be true or just an errant message or, as I suspect, too many short trips.
What will my multimeter tell me, that my battery needs a charge? Can’t use my hydrometer it’s a sealed battery.
The solar 9 tester gave me a full health check and I’m confident that the battery is in good shape (paid for itself).
Wouldn’t be without one now
