Battery terminals

They look very nice .... but I wonder why the covers are not red and black.

Most of the quick-release clamps are red and blue, the ones on my mower are. Not sure why anyone would want quick-release clamps in a boat, though, they're not the most substantial things. I'm a firm believer in crimped terminals bolted on.

The ones shown are quite substantial, more so than mine. I don't have an engine so no heavy loads. They are quick and convenient to use particularly in an awkward space like a boat or caravan locker.

Standard clamp terminals with a stud.

Once fitted they don't need removing as the cable is taken off the stud instead. Crimped lugs with adhesive lined heatshrink to prevent moisture migrating up the cable.
If the battery locker is dry then there's really no need to cover the whole lot in grease.
