The cable terminals hooked onto Tigger's battery terminals look a bit messy. No corrosion but the copper filament are untidily and partly severed (they probably did not fit properly into the terminals).

Is this a problem? Would I be better of using a "proper" soldered & crimped terminal - or should I stick with tthe screwed/bolted ones?

The cable could only get hot enough to melt solder if there's a short circuit (and if there are no fuses), in which case fire would be the main concern, not the integrity of the terminals! Soldered connections for battery terminals are fine in the real world.
