I have the BEP Battery Monitor fitted. Monitors the voltage on upto three battery banks and usage on one battery bank. The BEP instruments also look professional. I'm very pleased with it.

Previously I had a Link 20 battery monitor. Frequently locked up and had a less quality feel to it. I would not buy a Link 20 (or a Link 10 for similar reasons) again.

I had never heard of BEP, just looked them up and they seem to have some very nice kit. Did you buy direct ? I could not see a UK supplier.

Well, just to put the other side, I have a Mastervolt Monitor (aka Link 10) for some years and are perfectly happy with it. No probs at all

I don't know what proportion have this problem with locking up. When I raised the subject at the boat show they immediately recognised it as a known problem with some units. They did not offer an explanation other than they had had a number of returns. Other than the locking up I was very pleased with the Link 20 until I came across the BEP unit.

Hi!

Have used the Pulstronik Battman for last 12 years and am delighted with it. Not cheap, but very neat in a 50mm square housing that I think is a VDO unit. Shows Amps going in, amps going out, voltage and accumulated amps (total amps used)

Comes, as they all do I think, with a stainless steel shunt and complete wiring loom.

Good sailing!

If you want to do it your self you could buy a monitor like I did from CPC, I actually have two, one for each battery, after 2 seasons going strong, but must be somewhere dry as they are not marinised items.
