Battery charging Alarm - driving me potty - Volvo 2030B

On my Volvo penta D1-30 my beep and symbol alarm go off together when running engine at 2000-2200 rpm after several minutes. I got a new charge controller installed and alternator changed from a 85 A to 115 A. Can this have caused the issue? I would assume that the charge controller would cut off charging when full no matter the amp.

Just changed the starter battery. Even so, I read 15 V on panel when running engine at 2000-2200 rpm after 5 min. Alarm cuts off when I drop rev back down to idle.

If you are seeing 15 volts, and have confirmed that the panel meter is reading correctly, there must be something wrong with your alternator voltage regulation .

What is this "charge controller" you refer too ?
Is it an external alternator regulator, a third party add-on advanced alternator regulator, or some form of charge distribution device such as a VSR or charge splitter ?

As it is affecting the rev counter as well could it be a dodgy earth perhaps to the engine? A cracked cable could affect the rev counter and charge light the both depend on an earth pathe to work.

I had tried that with a whole new 25mm2 cable. However my recent thiughts are the wiring on thr back of the panel and/or the on off switch itself as these are the only parts not changed!

Yes, I am referring to the standard charge distribution device which I anticipate also controls and cuts off charging as required - maybe not?

Sure, I should verify that the meter measures correctly but as it climbs gradually and stays at 14,8-14,9 when I run at 1800 RPM and increases to 14,9-15,0 when I jump to 2000 RPM and then alarm goes off; it seams like numbers are correct but charging continues even when battery is completely full. As soon as I reduce to 1800 then again it shows 14,8 and alarm stops. So, alarm reacts directly to charge voltage. It seems like the alarm is set to 15V ( I cant change that on the panel) and the new 115 Amp alternator compared to the old 85 Amp is just to effective for the regulation system? Or the charge cut off is damaged (wherever that happens) on a Volvo Penta D1-30 Bavaria 37 2007 cruiser
