Can anyone help a simple soul ? I have a Mobitronic 12v Charger on my boat. What is the "sleeping mode" button for and what does it do ?

some people find the HF noise annoys them at night . hence the unit can be switched of for a set period of about 8 hours then it starts its charging regime automaticaly.

So........It charges the Starter battery at a different rate ?

It is better to put into sleep mode at night ? or leave on if the noise is no problem.
