I have to replace the batteries (3 x 140Ah), as they are dead due to running them down totally, by accident:(. The last replacement was with these, Varta LFD 140, some years ago,

I would like to replace with Varta, and I found these available locally, (cannot buy from UK;)) The size is critical and the ones below are exactly the same dimensions as the old ones.

Seems to be the same battery with a different name. Both deep cycle. €199 euros each, delivered.
Any comments?

Thanks,
M.

They both appear to be Varta LFD 140

If you want to keep to the same make and specification ( low maintenance, flooded lead acid , leisure batteries ) go for them.

Exactly the same as my Bosch T4. I went to have it tested a few days ago after being 10years old. Capacity is now 58% and cranking is perhaps 80% of new.

That domes answer your question but gives you an idea of how long a bosch lasted me. A replacement Bosch was £150. They own brand of the same was £130.
