Batten cars

We have a Dehler 41. 47 sq m of mainsail - a big rig for the length. We have Frederiksen batten cars, two of which have failed, and I am looking at replacements.

I am told our size (series 8) is under size for the boat. These are now Ronstan. For series 8 I am looking at 190+ pounds for a car and link, plus the batten carrier itself.

Have you any suggestions for alternative makes?
