My s58 has lockers in the bathing platform.

Hurricane mentioned in another post he keep his waterproof line in them so clearly princess have them as well.

Does anyone know the point of a reasonably damp ( but drained ) locker and other than waterproof rope any practical suggestions of what could be stored in them ?!

Other than hurricanes excellent suggestion ( even then the rope will no doubt suffer ) the do seem totally useless !

Water hosepipe?

We have a massive 'reasonably damp' locker under our bathing platform which is too damp to store most stuff. However, I do store a spare anchor, various water toys and SWMBO's inflatable kayak down there in winter. I reckon a spare anchor might be worth having in your case. Having to dump your main anchor and a load of chain on the seabed 'coz you cant get it out is going to ruin a cruise until you can recover it whereas a spare anchor and some rope (or even some spare chain) might save it

I keep two slightly thinner fenders in the platform locker that I hang off the back of the bathing platform when mooring stern to. It's quite a shallow locker though and I've found it full of water a few times now as the drains block easily.

I tend to keep grit, sand and algae in mine.

:D:D

I store stuff that i'd only use when the tender is in the water, because I can't get to the lockers with the tender on the platform, so waterski ropes, kids water skis (adult skis don't fit), ringo, and also a spare hose pipe in case the stretchy one breaks.
