Bash or bump or even a new gel coat here\'s your answer
Hi guy’s I’m doing up my Southerly 105, and I can’t resist showing you this awesome job being done by Mike Kelly on re-gelling the hull, its still a work in progress but the stern and one side is gelled, the finish and workmanship is unsurpassed by anything I have seen before. He has removed the old paint job and taken the hull right back to the original gelcoat, fixed numerous war wounds from previous owners heavy landings and re-moulded the windows for a more exact fit to the new ones. He has re-sprayed the rudder and even made me a beautiful new stainless tiller extension (sorry no pic of that at the mo’). As you can see the reflections are fantastic and he hasn't even done the final polish! Don’t forget this is a 30 year old boat which has been sailing the Med, and now she is looking better than when she came out of the mould! Can’t wait to see her on the water. We debated and researched long and hard on Gel verses Paint but this has proved to us there is no competition. Not often do you come across someone who really deserves to be shouted about, but Mike Kelly is one of them.
