Hi,
Has anybody bought & fitted one of these?
Barton Marine - Tech Info - Sail Handling - Single Line Mainsail Reefing Kit Fitting
They're going for c£110 online and I was thinking about buying one.
Do they work proficiently or is there a better way?
I was thinking about buying cheek blocks on the boom (etc.) but by the time I added up all that was needed I wasn't far off where the Barton kit was.
Also trying to establish if the system returns to cockpit without a need for entry via a clutch. I was thinking originally that I needed to purchase 2 triple power clutches to allow for two reefing points plus other 'things' but if I don't need the clutches to allow for this could I get away with doubles instead of triples should the Barton kit not be required to be shut off on a clutch.
