The glass in our barometer is cracked. Its the round brass type that is fixed to the wall alongside the clock. Made by Schatz (a Swiss company) but glass is probably fairly standard - 105mm is diameter with bevilled edge and hole for pointer in the middle.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to get replacement - it is proving to be more difficult than I had hoped!

Most proper antique dealers or Auction houses will have contacts for this sort of work,if you put "barometer glass" into google you will find suppliers for DIY ,FOR EXAMPLE .It's not difficult to do your self.

You do not give your location but if you are around the SE London area there is a shop on the A20 at New Eltham that specialises in barometer repairs. Right by the first set of trafic lights heading towards London from Swanley.
