We have some new neighbours moored on the Seine near us in a converted péniche. When it was active it had a laden weight of something like 350 tons pushed along by only 160hp, single screw engine and no bow thrusters and fast currents in limited manouevring space. They are often manned by a husband and wife team ... "Yes dear just fend off with your foot..."
