Hi all I'm looking into buying a 36m by 5m livaboard barge to live on somewhen but it's in Amsterdam and I found a place in auxonne france and can't find any detailed maps to navigate it to there as it's so big it's sure to only fit down some canals so any help would be awesome :)

Yes . . .
I can't help with Dutch charts, but French ones from Breil and Fluviacarte can be found here

including the overall waterways network maps that will help you plan.

Have you ever piloted a barge?
Anything above 20-25m becomes subject to increasing regulation itself, plus of course you'll need appropriate credentials yourself.
General - http://www.french-waterways.com/practicalities/regulations-licences.html
20m+ - http://www.french-waterways.com/practicalities/regulations-triwv.html

You'll also get specific barge related help by joining the DBA - www.barges.org - highly recommended

I know Auxonne quite well - am there at the moment.

PS 'awesome' - are you sure?
