Anyone wanna go splits on a time share arrangement? I could manage 1% purchace/running costs meaning I'd get it 3 or 4 days a year...
A lovely boat.
I have to turn it down. At 68ft its over 20m which just adds an extra layer of complications.
Great - that means you won't have to stick to the small boat channel when coming into Pompey.
Did you ever see the yacht conversion berthon did on a challenge 68?
No idea how much it cost but it looked amazing - think the boat was Ecover
Ecover was converted, but I believe most of the work was done by Royal Denship / Danish Yachts, as they were owned by the late Jorgen-Phillip-Sorensen, for whom the conversion was done (and was the owner of Ecover and backer of Mike Golding through Group 4 and Ecover). - The interior joinery was to the kind of standards you see on 50 metre superyachts. Berthon sold her on, from memory the list price seemed on the low side for a thoroughly well sorted, quality boat.
There's a newer Oyster 68 for sale through Oyster Brokerage for £260K - http://www.oysteryachts.com/brokerage/listing/110/altair/

Euroyachts in Troon has a 1996 Oyster 61 for sale at £495,000. http://www.euroyachts.com/boats-for-sale/
As I told the broker I could just about afford the mooring fees![]()
Ok so 5 years younger, but 7 feet shorter. Mine is a better deal.
So the plan is buy a house somewhere with a dock (any suggestions??! Where has cheap shoreside properties?) and save on berthing fees!!
Great boat, no doubt, and the price is more than attractive.
What surprises me though, is that it looks like a deck saloon on the outside, but it appears to have just a conventional saloon which makes no use of the view the window must surely afford, or are the pictures misleading?
Oyster were the first with DSim surprised Oyster waste that deck saloon - Discovery and the Farr 56 show how is should be done...as far as I can remember only one Oyster has a proper deck saloon layout..
im surprised Oyster waste that deck saloon
Hartlepool?
They did another one which was finished a year ago and went to the Netherlands - just can't remember its name !
