Bargain berth for sale in south of France

Brilliant! So that's close to a £1M a year, but extra peanuts for parking. How to leave a sour taste or what? Surprised they even mention it! Dont know about anybody else but I always prefer an 'all in' price wherever posssible when selling to my customers, it is less aggro for the customer.

I'm not seeing that ...? 'Parking passes included'

Edit: ah, sorry - you're referring to the standard Port Vauban parking data that they include on every listing for berths in the port. Parking is included with this berth, as it is with my (ever so slightly, ahem) smaller berth on Quai 2.

Don't believe all you read on the www. That is the price for extra parking spaces beyond the freebies you get as a berthholder.

Trying to think with my billionaires cap on but is much need to own a berth or is it a luxury? In winter there is pretty much always space on the IYCA if you wanted to get on it and in the summer you are often on the move. Obviously this is pocket change for a billionaire so I guess it really doesn't matter!

The logic would be that you'd always have a space - it is hard to get space for a 90m boat and some people like to be in port occasionally not at anchor. When you're not on it the rental, of which the owner gets about 70% after the port's commission, is something like €3.5k per night winter and more in the peak season (going from rough memory)

You're right that billionaires' quai can be half empty thru the winter, because a lot of these boats go to the caribee, so you only have a 50% chance of collecting that rental if you don't use the berth

I guess if you can afford the berth and a boat to fit it then the incoming rental probably doesn’t feature highly in the equation!

That's serious doughage, but I can see that working, 3500 in winter, summer say 7,000... 180 days at 70% less and it may work out to be a good winter home berth for your not so average Carib bound 80m owner.
