Runs off a rechargeable 14500 li-ion or any AA battery.

To get the max 600lm brightness use Li-ion but the standard AA is very bright and battery lasts longer anyway (cree not worked so hard).

This is the size of your index finger but appears just as bright as my dad's old bright yellow 1 000 000 candle power 12v halogen brick (more like breeze block) that ran down in 30 mins !

Anyone else grabbed a bargain recently ?

Those Cree torches are literally brilliant. I unwrapped one that was delivered today from lifebike off ebay to add to my collection, one in every room in the house + each car. And several on the boat. Cheap as chips but look and feel as though they should cost many times what we paid for them. Excellent bits of kit.

A year or 2 back I bought a very expensive led torch on the recommendation of someone on one of these forums which really is no better than these torches which cost only a small fraction of what I paid for it.

I recently bought a head torch with Cree LED in it. Can't believe how bright it is. When I went out on deck at night just to test it and look about, as I glanced around I lit up a bloke who was having a crafty smoke about a 100 feet away - superb lighting and so small and compact.

Yea,done a few "cree" orders through Banggood.com..batteries,chargers and adapters.
Chuck out those old multi LED cheapos

Cheers for the heads up - I have just ordered one :)

Accidentally bought five!! Dubious though - last time I bought a low value iten from China with free postage, they cancelled the order (due some nonsense or other), which I suspect has to do with the £3 per torch won't even cover the postage..

Hope I'm wrong, they look great! :)
