On the water yesterday, decided to splash not an insignificant amount of cash on a nice lunch. Never been to Royal William so pulled into the harbour to be greeted by a sign on the end of the pontoon, £10 per hour! Called them and pleaded we were going to add to their economy to no avail. That will be £10 sir.

Turned around thinking about Cremyll, had a sudden inspiration, Mayflower Marina. Lady on the other end of Ch80 couldn't be more helpful, "Find yourself a berth on pontoon A and have a nice lunch".

Come on Royal William, wake up. A change of policy may help to revive those struggling businesses in the complex but too late of the ones who have already fallen foul of the parking and harbour charges.

Sutton has increased prices to £4/m £40for a night for me.
Will not return as I feel that’s too much.
Good thing though is many berths are now free as the long term berthing increase so much (by a berth holder) that they have lost loads of boats to the surrounding marinas.
Another catch 22 situation arising there again.

I won’t be stopping there for an hour not at that price!! Shame as there seems to a trend of screwing the yachties for every penny. The staff are great. I returned to Plymouth this week but didn’t stay in sutton which is a shame, I do like it there. The staff are just great, helpful and friendly, mark is relaxed, friendly and welcoming which helps when just arriving from a long passage.
Mayflower and yacht haven now as these are cheaper.
