thanks again guys, lots of options to go for. wouldn't mind returning to Cyrpus and explorer a few of the coves I used to frequent in a kayak in the 80's either side of Aya Napa along with some of the harbours to the west of Akrotiti. That hotel in Croatia looks interesting too. thanks again. the Pacific, Nordics may have to wait.. Deb will want guaranteed sun for the first one

Also in Cyprus there is a company called Latchi Watersports, good selection of 18 - 30ft sports boats, all day hire if you fancy that sort of thing!

We hired through them many years ago, a small speedboat for the day, they told us to head for the Blue Lagoon which I though was a dodgy man bar, thankfully it was a beautiful clear blue cove where we anchored and swam. Good times.
