Don't blame me if the weather changes!

We'll be in Yarmouth on Saturday. Sunday until mid afternoon I have to go to the North Island, but then I'll be back on the boat till Tuesday morning.

Well Ben you can thank me for the weather... not on the boat this weekend! (does deserve a FFS)

Daughter doing DofE expedition round the north downs...then Monday revising hard for her mocks which are next week... life just gets in the way sometimes!

only good bit is I am taking my old jalopy to Goodwood Breakfast club on Sunday morning.. Transatlantic Sunday is the theme... got a spot on the circuit.

If I lived on the island I would clean yours to, it would come up a treat... wanted to do it when I saw it at Nigels..

Mines is in splendid order, last night spent a merry couple of hours lying on the floor touching in stone chips under the front bumper...

Transatlantic theme is Best of British Vs American Muscle...

Its not A disgrace, its IN disgrace, its currently failing to proceed...

Nooo. Electrical?

Yes, something is draining the battery, it was cranking, but only slowly and didn't fire up. Its been on charge and the earth lead is off. I'll just have to keep the earth lead off until I get time to look at it. It takes over a week to have an effect, so it must only be a small drain.

when I saw the top roll off at Nigels.... the mass of wiring scared me.

Yes, there was a relay or something under there he had to replace to get it running, its all tied into all those low oil pressure, high temp etc cut outs that are intended to protect the car.

Its all detailed in the bill, but I try not to look at it...

Generally, these slow current leaks on motor cars turn out to be something quite pedestrian; Typically, the under-bonnet or boot light staying on when it shouldn't or, in one case, my then 6 year old daughter had turned on an interior light in the back of the car which then stayed on until the battery was drained.
