A nasty low seems set for almost the whole of next week to the NW of the country but during the bank holiday weekend a good high seems to be on its way - see the wetterzentrale site.

If most bank holidays are anything to go by

It will be tantilising good enough to get you to the far side then rough enough not to get back! Usually following a really benign lr forecast. Seriously, I hope that it is good enough for your trip.

The metcheck 30 day forecast gives decent weather settling in over the BH weekend, and basically continuing into the first week of September, then breaking down during for the rest of September as the 'remains of tropical hurricanes' sweep across the Atlantic.

So as long as you are back within the fortnight you should be OK. After that, look to your mooring tackle!

I hope they are right - I shall be out there myself after the Holiday weekend!
