Bank holiday weather?

Depends if the high pressure gets into the west country I'd say. I'm sailing down to Guernsey for the weekend so hope it stays westerly and at least force 4!

My folks return to South Africa on Tuesday after spending 3 grotty weeks in rainy old England. Their flight is at 19:30 so make sure you are suntan-lotioned up by that time cos the sun will come out and stay out for weeks therafter.

But I am not &^*"-off.........mmmmm

looking at it it is going to be a bit gusty under the odd cloud but generally ok
agree about the temp
pack the waterproofs but donot forget the sun cream. Monday should be nicer.
wish i was getting out there myself.

Sunny spells with the chance of occaisional showers or longer periods of rain. Winds light to moderate from the sector south-east through west to north east, with some brisker winds from time to time especially at sea.
This forecast may be repeated at other times during the year.
Never cast a clout 'til May is out....

It's not a bank holiday in Scotland and the weather here is ok! (not brilliant) but "acceptable" May weather... Solar Eclipse in the North of Scotland.. best viewed from Unst.. oooooooooooooooh why haven't I got a boat to get there in?

The heaviest shower

I've ever sailed in. About 15 minutes worth, Solent, mid-afternoon Sunday. So heavy it killed the breeze, so heavy the deck scuppers couldn't cope. Thank you Met Office. Wrong again.

Re: The heaviest shower

Didn't it just Ken!. I was anchored in Priory Bay when it hit and woke me up. Was anybody else in the Bembridge area on Sunday and were they as pissed off as me by the helicopters taking off and landing at Bembridge after flying low around the bay and entrance for at least an hour, wrecking a peaceful lunch-stop. What were they up to?.
Rab. (Oh for a 12 bore!).

<hr width=100% size=1>I believe we should all pay our mooring fees with a smile. I tried — but they wanted cash.
