Hi all,

I need to get some fireproof hose crimped on to the send and return fuel feeds for the banjo fittings on my Vetus.

My bright idea was to buy spares (thinking, 'How expensive can they be..?') so that I don't have to leave my boat with the hoses removed while I have hose crimped on to the existing fittings (which are fine, and I can still do this - it's just that my boat is a fair way away, and I'd rather not leave it for a long period without the hoses connected)

The problem I'm having is where to buy them from. I don't know who the importers are of Vetus engines, and I know the M205 is discontinued. Does anyone have any ideas..?

There's no problem leaving it with the hoses removed. You could, if you wished, just cover the exposed holes with tape.

I recently got my flexible fuel supply hose replaced on to the existing fittings at my local Pirtek place, while I waited. Why not see if they have a store near your boat, and do it there?

Unsurprisingly the importer is Vetus and they have a number of distributors. Your best bet is French Marine Motors in Norfolk. Alternatively the base engine is a Mitsubishi.

Look for a local fuel injector specialist..

Ther is one in Colchester ... Colchester Fuel Injection..Generally there is one in most counties or very large town..

They will supply banjo bolts, copper washers Etc... but be warned they are very pricey!! Most if not all fuel systems use the same banjo bolts and feuel fittings.

Gopod Luck
