No tax relief on boat diesel here in the Canaries, we are having to buy road diesel at an extortionate 61 cents a litre .. .

By the time the marina staff had faffed around arriving at the fuel berth, unlocking the pump, taking payment and then returning to the office to get change (no, I wasn't going to let them keep it out of a £20 note to fill a 25l can, despite the hopeful look)and wandered back, I have always found it easier to fill up at a garage on the way to / from the boat.
I appreciate its not much use if you have a mobo or no local garage selling red.
