I'm chartering a yacht from Majorca in November and would like to know what Pilot you lot out there would recommend I bought before I go.
It will be our first time in the Balearics so any other advice would be appreciated, in particular are there any areas around the islands where we would be more likely to enjoy a bit of a blow.

I use the Imray Laurie Norie Wilson book. My 6th edition I bought and used about 4 seasons ago is a bit out of date, things are developing fast out there.
Try the N W coast run for a bit of a blow.......

I have found non-brit publication to be better on med. The french "Livre de Bord" has all the info, much more up to date incl phone numberrs, and only 16 euros, but of course only availble in france. It has quite a lot of bits/pilotage and so on in english. It doesn't have any historical padding, nor personal waffle from crusty old skint pilot-book writer about how Palma is spolit and aren't aeroplanes awful and witter on recommending walks hither and yon. Although I have the other pilots, Livre de Bord is now my primary in the western med.
