I frequently see posts giving a pat on the back to goods and services suppliers who have merited such. A technical forum needs this sort of information.
In the interest of balance those outfits not deserving of such should also be mentioned and I nominate Marine Megastore.
One of my first posts on this forum was in respect of positioning a chain locker on a Sadler 32. I am still awaiting the chain for this, ordered now seven weeks ago on Mar 5th from this outfit. The chain was only dispatched on Mar 14th and Fed-ex lost it on the 19th March. Marine Gagastore would not do anything until 2 weeks elapsed from dispatch and then Easter appeared to intervene until I was told last Tuesday that chain would not be in their warehouse until Wednesday, now over a week ago and still no notification of dispatch. Customer service has been zero culminating in tonight's epic 1hr 20 min awaiting a response from their live chat which promised every five minutes that I would be dealt with "shortly".
I also requested their catalogue which has never arrived, but I don't see me needing it somehow.

I have had poor service (once) from Force 4, and utterly disgraceful service from mailspeed, and I mean, BAD! I gave them a second chance with another purchase, and it backfired yet again.

The only company that I have (so far) had good service with, has been TCS. I just stopped using them because mailspeed were a little cheaper. Mistake.

My experience of chandlers so far is the big one's are too busy to give a damn about customers (after all, I had only spent a couple of thousand).

I'm back with TCS next time I think.

oh, just to add to that. I had second to none service from the Mailspeed shop at Essex Boatyard. As I recall the guy who runs it is called John. He went well out of his way to help me. Shame he doesn't run the mail order part of the business... or indeed the Burnham shop.

Funnily enough, I've had superb dealings with a 'John' at this firm...same guy??
