Google doesn't seem to find any technical info about the anchor. The Delta is made from a manganese steel that has high strength, as a result bending of the shank is very rare indeed. I suggest that the most likely way in which big cost savings could be made would be to use a lower spec steel, which would inevitably be less strong.
That may be good enough for your purposes, light use, weekends only, inland, etc but for more serious anchoring I prefer the best I can buy. Even my Delta is now demoted to spare, as the new generation anchors have proven better performance.
