Bad weekend... Diesel bug and impellors....

Have to pull my fuel tanks I think.
I have known I have diesel bug for a while, just keep swapping filters, but alas, think i need to pull the tanks out, and inspect them as well.
Sunseeker kindly left a cutout panel in the roof of the aft cabin for just such a job, or would mean i need to cut one out. Tanks will not fit up the stairs....
At least then i can check thickness of tanks too, change the hoses, and install valves where required.

Water pump impellors i swapped 16 months ago, and have fallen to bits... Both of them. Got chunks missing from the debris, so next stop is pull the gearbox oil cooler, as first place down the line....
Think I was sold old stock impellors....
Just think i was pretty much on top of all my work.... Ah well....

Im in Norway at the moment. This boats off to canada then, so may dump us off in Ireland on the way past. Vietnam for me after a weeks break....

I beat the bug by using a Rule - in line pump and circulating the fuel through a funnel with a very fine gauze for about 2 hours. Had to clean the gauze every 10 mins as it completely clogged. Then added a strong dose of Marine 15 diesel bug treatment and changed the primary engine filters.
Been running fine for the last few hundred hours.

Fuel been treated for time ive had the boat. I was running the tanks down, so that will have stirred up all the crud.
Got some fuel hoses to replace too, so can do all those jobs at the same time. Just my luck though
