Bad case of the trots

Well. after six months of running over our mooring lines, broken tenders and dropped oars it loks like we will be leaving our trot mooring and moving onto the pontoon this weekend. We had planned for it to happen next year, but we were told last week that it was happening now. Bit of a panic finding the cash, but Louise has done some overtime, so off we go.

Pity really, as I was just getting used to putting Ishtar on the trot, even sailed her onto there twice. Not allowed to sail onto the pontoon apparantly. I'll have to learn a new manoeuvre too!
 
Welcome to the pontoon Martin and Louise, the rule is new pontoonites get the beer in,( i made that up) see you at the quiz?

CC/Huw, Someone told me last week, can't remember now. they said it was potentially dangerous to nearby boats.

Chris, I'm hoping to be there, but Louise is working away. Both been ill with Flu, so keep away!

He must have hit that with a fair whack, too. It's no wonder I'm a basket case going into locks and marinas.

I don't think he's dropped his mast low enough to get under that bridge either.
 
I dont recon he was going fast enough.

He would have easily cleared it otherwise.

I believe as long as you are a guest of a member of CYC then its okay (correct me if I'm wrong).

With regards to the kids Chris and Helen were looking to recruit new team members. They'll problably know the COLREGS better /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
 
I'm still not sure I'll make it Matt. I've been at a meeting in Ebbw all morning and I've coughed all through it. Really feel rough. Wish I hadn't wound Louise up so much when she had it.

I'm going to try and make it, but if I pass away during the quiz, just float me out into the bay.
 
Ha Ha, i`ll have you know we are joint 1st, how i dont know, but we are. only 3 of us last time and some bloke from the bar, he wasnt much use on the col regs either.Martin, if you have man flu STAY AWAY mines only just gone, your team wont miss you(from what they were saying last time) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
