Back Up/Additional Nav Apps

Hi All,

I am hoping to soon be a boat owner again. The motor boat I am buying does have a plotter along with log et-al, which apparently is in good working order, due to be confirmed on sea trial. It is quite old and I would like to get it replaced but not this season. I would also like to get an additional app for mobile phone, tablet or laptop although I don't have a tablet currently. I have been playing with the Navionics app free for 15 days, on my Android phone. I would like to avoid Apple if possible.

Can anyone recommend a free or paid for app that could be used a an additional chart plotter/satnav? Please note that I do know that it is important to use them as a backup to traditional methods of plot

Have to pay for the full version, but as you've mentioned, Navionics is the one to have.

+ another, actually been used in anger when plotter screen failed, did the job in the shallows on the east coast, so more than up to it.
