I'm here with anotyher question!

I'm looking into buying a Cat. At the moment I'm going through all the used sales websites I can find.

boatsandoutboards.co.uk
and a few others. What are the main (or biggest) websites that sell used boats in the UK?

Thanks again guys in advance for your help

I'm looking at a Cat as a liveaboard. Not sure which model - still looking. I'll be on my own (divorced) and budget is about £25k with about £2k monthly income. Will work from boat.

Will be vruising UK initially to gain experience then farther afield - Med.

This allows you to search price or size or both. Should give you some ideas of the market, the makes and the prices of available boats.

I would think as you are new to this a trip to the centre would be an excellent day out, they have many multihulls down there for viewing. There is no better way to find the right boat for you than climbing over many other marques and comparing notes.

That's where our Australian friends sold their boat. They sailed (travelled) back through France from the Med to get their Heavenly Twins there, so must be pretty good and well-known. Sold reasonably quickly, too.

Heavenly Twins, or possibly the best - a Prout 31 if you can find one at the right price. an 8 or 9m catalac are also in the price frame and are great liveaboards, but not so good as sailing boats. You can come and look at my 9m Catalac if you want.

THanks Talbot - you've been a truly great help. I can't get away at the moment to look at your boat - thanks - but I'd sort of narrowed it down to a Catalac or Heavenly twins too. Is it correct that the Prout is no longer being built, and would that matter IF I could find one at the right price?
