Some of you may recall that I discovered an engine bay full of fresh water in January, while my boat was stored ashore. I don't want to dwell on the sequence of events that preceeded and followed this because, frankly, it's too depressing. Suffice it to say that any esteem in which I held certain outposts of the British Marine and Insurance industries has vanished.
On the positive side, Dave Crawford Marine in Lymington have been very helpful over the past couple of months and have now finished the substantial engine repairs that were needed. I just need to arrange to get the boat back on her mooring for the first time this year, then I can start to organise the winter lay-up.
Which is where this all started.....
