Hi there all here as promised are the latest pictures from Angelica .
Again anyone has advise on best ways to go about
getting her back to former glory
i am all ears being a newbie i will listen.
at present she is back inside a storage area for the mechanic to work on.
but as for the rest of the work what do you think
a good tidy and paint.?
as you can see from the (reduced to large )images the only real damage from the sinking was,
she landed on her roof,
and smashed the wave breaker window or windscreen
at the top, as i need a window there for the pram canopy cover to clip onto.
i was thinking of hard perspex and a wooden frame
(the old man's a joiner) and would do a fine frame for there. im sure.
and transfer the male parts of the clips
to the wooden frame instead of the original aluminium.
but if anyone has better idea maybe a carbon sheet
would be better for it or glass ?
what typr would suit there better.?
Any help or advise appreciated. finally THANKS TO ALL
who passed on there regards etc when she sunk
and all the great advise i received.
how we got her afloat was using the tide
and also a few huge floats 1/2 a ton floats and strops
around the bow. and stern.
and brought her into a slipway
(were you see she beached at low water)
and the bailing her out and also attempting to empty
the engine of some salt water.
i gave it a good spray with wd40 took the spark plugs and electrics out to get work started.
I was also thinking of JET WASHING her at a garage or something. or doing it myself.
would it be worth it having it soaked again?(better/worse?)
or just to wash her by hand inside and out.?
well thats it folks thanks again cheers john
cheers again
John
p.s thanks in advance for any advise or help
