I've sailed the north exit from Tinkers hole a couple of times, and hadn't really thought of it as being a problem. I use a paper chart!

But I did have a problem in Ardinarmour once. Anchored in there for the night, a wind blew up (not excessive) and due to misunderstanding on howmuch anchor chain we had out, (insufficient) we dragged. By the time two of us woke up sensing something wrong, we were right in between the two rocks either side of the entrance. Hasty up anchor and motor back in and rest the anchor with appropriate chain out and finish off that sleep.
Had the wind been any different direction, we've have beached for sure! I think others anchored there must have got almost as much of fright as us, finding us motoring about in the dark!

That's why I absolutely refuse to use a pilot book with aerial photographs. I don;t want the fun of arrival and discovery spoiled. Sketches of coastlines by Lieutenant Whatsit of HMS Thingummy in 1865 are acceptable.
