During my liveaboard years, now sadly suspended due to parental semi-dependency, I was a frequent visitor here and benefited greatly from the collective wisdom and advice. I was even able to offer some of my own at times.
Now I am without boat and applying myself to gaining a degree in Photography - never had the chance as a callow youth, so I'm doing it as a greybeard!
Sometimes I have to stifle my responses to some of the arty bo!!ocks, but one assignment in the current module calls for a series on "those whose lifestyles, for differing reasons, do not concur with the dominant consensus" Since I have always been a big fan of not concurring I thought of my own liveaboard time and especially people with plans to take the plunge themselves.
I'd like to photograph you, at home or aboard your boat if:
* You're already living aboard
* You're preparing your boat for departure, either in the early stages or going soon OR you're a bit stalled but still determined
* You're taking your partner / family with you OR venturing alone
* You're still at home but are into the serious planning stages - looking for a boat to buy, for instance
I'll come to you, of course. I'd only take an hour or so of your time (not including the inevitable boat-chat).
You can have any pictures you like for your own use. It's NOT for publication, just for my college work (but if YBW want to commission a series I'm all ears).
The style will environmental portrait.
I'm ready to start right now, having left it to the last moment, of course. I can easily get to you if you are on the coast between Poole, Dorset and Bristol and inland within a hundred miles or so of Lyme Regis.
Please will you consider helping?
