baby Riva or pseudo-riva anywhere?

If you want modern retro then Mike is right and Chris Craft is probably the way to go.

This - the Lancer Woody is probably the type of thing you are looking for at just under 20ft. if you want a bit bigger, then you can go for the corsair 22

unless you fancy something a little more high tech - though not as quick. This thing will do 15 knts, and cover 80nm just by charging the batteries. retro, lean and green. Composite hull means its not cheap, but that has never put TCM off in the past /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

thanks both to you and Deleted User (and happy xmas) ...but i wonder f teensy weensy a possible? Like a tender, 11 footer, hm? Of course, it's gotta be mega varnishy with tumblehome and white + baby blue or lighty green upholstery and zoomy powerful...

Or is there a boatbuilder who could make one dya think?

personally I prefare a Colombo over a Riva
for similar stlye and also good seakeeping hulls look for Offshore C.N. they are built in South of Rome, deep stepped hull below but classic lines up top
if you want something real retro to refurbish one can look at the old Abbates, Ilver but also Possilipo build similar mahogany boats to the Aquarama

[/ QUOTE ]That's definitely a custom build job.
On Como Lake there are still a couple of builders which can do with real wood pretty much whatever you ask them:
- Matteri, and
- Riva.
Mind, the latter is arguably the original one, not the most famous which now builds plastic fantastic gin palaces.
Unfortunately - but unsurprisingly with these kind of builders - both web sites are awful.
But if you're interested I can directly ask them for further details, they are both near my lake home.

PS:
the previous links don't seem to be working for some reason.
Anyway, these are the plain ones.
