Thinking of staying in till Chrstmas as I never do any work on the boat till New Year anyway. Hope he saves a space for me.

I heard a story about Oban lifeboat and two of the residents on Mull. The lifeboat is often used as ambulance between Oban hospital and Mull so that much is a given.
The story goes, that in the throws of passion, a couple somehow became 'stuck' together and had to be ferried to Oban for surgeons to intervene.
Now to me it sounds far fetched, but the old chap on Mull appeared like many I met on the Island to have left his sense of humour (and reality it seemed) at Oban when he boarded the ferry. So I think he either believed it or it was the truth.
Can anyone confirm?

That can and does happen - I think it is called evaginismus or something like that. Don't know if that story is true though.
