Making Waves (I know it's crap) is on in the background, glance at the telly, hang on I recognise that marina. Wonder if that's the Jeanneau Prestige 36 a couple of boats away from me ?

Bit later there's a post in shot, pontoon G, that's where B4 is then, now watching intently. Bit of argy bargy and the bloke walks off to leave (he's going the wrong way of course but that's artistic licence for you) camera follows him there's the yacht that's parked right next to B4, wait for it ................... cut to another location

Damn !

/forums/images/icons/wink.gif - you noticed how the locations are all over the place? Gunwharf one minute - HMS Bristol the next. Shame there's not more about boats!!! I'm sure I spotted Volunteer 2 though - there was a bloke aboard with one of those "papa smurf" hats on!!!! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif and double /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Any ideas??

Had lunch with your Bro and Chris at Bergeracs bar yesterday. Got to Jersey late so didnt have time to pop in as I had to back to back my meetings.

Had an interesting meeting with a certain chandlery in the area, tell you about it sometime.

BTW wasps at the court house was a real problem. Peter manged to catch 3 in a beer glass in one go which surprised the waiter when he came to clean up.

Hm, I've half expected them (pix) to turn up here! Now don't mock that pontoon, it's actually not that bad, mind you we could only catch you in a rough sea/forums/images/icons/wink.gif Have to wait for the jetski version coming to a harbour near you!

Saw it last night. HMS Suffolk getting prepped for sea and crew being worked up for signing on for operations. New skipper on board with this, his first ship. He is ex Harrier flyer etc. The X0 is female and the topics were crew getting logged for being D & D and fighting. One rate has a pregnant girfriend who is daughter of very overweight PO who has to pass fitness test. Courtesy tour visiting Argentine officers on board cause friction amongst crew and officers etc etc. Last week, the ship rescued some illegals from a fishing boat and one kid drowned in the process and one of rescue party from Suffolk bottled out underwater etc. Now, I don't watch soaps but this has a bit of nautical memory for me so I will watch it with mild interest again!! By the way, I spotted the Jeanneau Prestige mentioned too. Some nice boats in the marina shots. Roy

Gripping drama

The story so far..........

The Captain of HMS Suffolk is becoming increasingly concerned at the smokiness of his engines after taking on a load of dodgy fuel in Basra. Anchored off Guernsey during a naval exercise, he is approached by an enigmatic local in a Jeanneau, clutching a bottle of a rare and mysterious fluid, said to cure all ills.

Fearing the worst but hoping for the best, the Captain pours the contents of the bottle into the ship's fuel bunkers, only to find that there is no improvement. When he remonstrates with the stranger, he is advised (a) that he needs a bit more than 500ml for a large naval craft and (b) he should really double dose the tanks first time round.

Desperate to raise money to buy more of the wonder fluid, the skipper orders one of his crew to put their girlfriend (who is also daughter of a fat g*t of a Petty Officer) on the streets to make a few bob. However, his cunning plan misfires when she becomes pregnant as a result of her new profession........

To be continued. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
