B&G Network Wind Display + Tactic Display ... need masthead unit.

I have the B&G Wind display HB-0502-03 + the additional Tactic Display ...

Can someone identify which masthead unit (direction and speed) I need for this ...

I have had a real fight with this gear and it appears that the masthead unit may be the fault.

We have the same B&G network instruments with a broken 496 masthead unit. Working 496 masthead units are rare and expensive. There's a PCB in the unit that that fails and is almost £500.
Complete second hand ones seem to fetch around the same price on eBay.
I love the old analogue displays but I can't bring myself to spend that sort of cash mending instruments that are 30 years old.

TBH - I am close to ripping it out and having a NASA unit instead !

The question now ... will the old B&G cable mate with the NASA if I do swap it out ?? Or would it just be better to install a Wireless unit ?

When I bought my 2001 boat 12 years ago it came with a receipt for a repair made to the same B&G mast head unit for around £270. After I saw that receipt I went up the mast at the end of every sailing season and removed the mast head unit over winter to save wear. I sold the boat 2 years ago and it was still working.
