Does anyone know how to calibrate a Network Pilot? My new to me boat has an old network pilot which works well enough but is reading about 180 degrees out. I can’t find out how to calibrate in the manual. Does anyone know?
Thanks

In my copy of the b and G installation and commissioning manual
Page 5-19

You have to get into commissioning mode first.
Autopilot in Standby
Press AUTO & OFF keys at same time

ESTABLISH BOATS ACTUAL HEADING (EG Due north 000)
Press SETUP
Select CMP
Press ENTER display will flash current setting
Press UP or DOWN arrows until display shows 000 or actual heading flashing
Press ENTER and display shows 000 or actual heading fixed.

Come out of commissioning mode by pressing the RED OFF key.

Before you do any of this please find and check the remote heading compass unit that feeds the ACP computer.
Make sure it is secure and has not either come loose or has a magnet, metallic object or loudspeaker/ radio placed next to it. Any of these could have made it give a false magnetic bearing.

For your info.
I have added a wireless remote control to my network AP. This controls on, standby, and all four course correction functions from anywhere on the boat.

It involves some simple hard wiring of a 6 channel wireless relay into the ACP computer terminals.
Costs about £30!

I find it really convenient on wet days for dodging lobster pots without rushing to the helm from the comfort of the hard top on our bene 40cc!
