B&G H1000 wind speed faulty.how can I check it?

My B&G H1000 wind speed indicator is not gving any reading on the display, it remains 0.0 while the wind direction indicator works well. Can somebody advise how to check where the problem lies if up the mast at the sender unit or cables or below at the connection/computer box, without going up the mast?

There is a document which tells you that the windspeed signal acts by pulling to gnd.
I suspect your masthead unit has water in it like mine.
Tinley electronics can fix it, not cheap, but less excessive than a new unit.
Suggest act now before water reaches wind angle circuit which is much more complex....
(maths students may recognise the pun in 'complex', never apologise never explain...)
