Finally after ages messing around with it ive had to concede that me port engine is no more.Ive stuck an add in the wanted bit for parts or a full engine but thought id mention it here as well.So if ya know where theres a full engine(s) or some bits Giz a shout will ya

I know that spares can be difficult for those - I have AQD32As which are the same engine but for outdrives. What has gone wrong and what parts are you looking for?

Just about the whole fuel system,Lift pump(this is available but you have to sell a kidney to but it) injectors and injection pump.If that dont work then ill need a gas axe to sort it forever !!!

Have you tried Bosch or some one, to service the parts??

Ive tried a few places CR havnt got anythng and most of the pump dealers rekon they wouldnt be able to do anything with if there was a component broke !!

Cant see any other way to go other than re-engine or ty to get parts

When I had broken machines, I used to get new parts made. Very complex ones and usually cheaper than buying new, even if available.

Find out what the broken bits are likely to be, theres not much in steel that cant be remade or mended. I even had blokes who could weld a new skin round parts that were worn. Then machine them back to size.

Volspec in Tollesbury Essex would be worth a go.They specialize in volvo, helpful and got a lot of knowledge. I can sympathise with your situation, recently waited 2 months for a starter motor for a merc diesel got one new half price £425, bosch price £800. Hope you get sorted. N

re engine

I am changing my engines in October for transit diesels with Lancing Marine marinize kit & turbos to get some more knots.The engines i am replacing are two Volvo aqd21 75 hp 4 cylinder diesels recon heads in 09 injectors & injection pumps re con by Colchester fuel injection last month port engine water pump recon by Lancing Marine thay run well use no oil only smoke a bit on start up.Thay will come compleat with heatexchangers altinator & starters can be seen runing till the end of October .I have spent a lot of money & time on them but i need to get her over the hump as we intend to start going to Holland next year.If any is intrested let me know.

Starter motors can be mended at little cost, even if needing rewinding. There is no such thing as a Volvo starter motor. I's just some one elses painted green.
