Thanks chaps, all very good reading.
JFM thanks for the additional images, thats precisely what I wanted to see.
I must say the Ph42 would suit us, I do like the extended bathing platform, we use the one on our T34 a lot when playing in the lagoon. I also like the idea of a larger Tender too, our Zodiac 2.6 is getting very tired. Mind you I do like the garage on the T48 at EBY! Always a compromise unless you can spec., your own new boat I suppose!
We berth stern-to to a port finger, so access to the port quarter with a larger tender would be fine.
I am not too bothered riding a bit bow high, it sounds as if it may help to reduce spray which is also good, you can always drop down if you need to.
I am not a speed king, a more sedate speed is good. I must say though I really do like, and will no doubt miss, the T34's handling and performance.
I removed a load of weight/tender etc., into the paneole before taking a short trip with 6 adults on board to Las Fuentes (28NM south of SCM) last year.
Stayed there for a few nights, predicted F4/5 later on route back to port, so left early.
Flat sea for 90% on the journey, clean bottom and polished props (from the bathing platform, I will miss that) and registered 43 knots when passing Peniscola! We arrived at SCM just as white horses were building in the lagoon, and later in the marina! 43! I had thought the boat had a top end around 39....
No response from Fairline yet!
