This year we introduce a third event...”The Gloucester Big Bash” This event brings together our inland and sea going membership in probably the most historic nautical setting in the country. As you have come to expect from BCYA Rally’s, there are discounted fees and free wine at the now traditional Saturday 1800hr reception. But this event offers much more.
You can lock in to Sharpness from Saturday 21st of May giving you the option of spending a full week cruising the canal stopping at local pubs and scenic villages prior to the rally., or spending the first weekend on the canal and leaving your boat to return in time for the rally which is on the 28th and then sail home on either Sunday 29th or bank holiday Monday 30th or both. Or you could simply do it all over the bank holiday weekend - The choice is yours !!
Before you come you will need to buy 1 weeks short term waterways licence on line from The Canal & River Trust or by contacting Karen on 01452 318008. The BCYA have negotiated that this will be valid for 9 days for people attending the rally enabling you to lock in on Saturday 21st and stay until Monday 30th.
Licence Fees 18’1” to 21’3” = £25.19
21’4” to 24’7” = £26.76
24’8” to 27’10” = £29.92
27’11”to 31’1” = £31.48
31’2” to 34’5” = £34.63
34’6” to 37’8” = £37.78
37’9” to 40’11” = £39.37
In addition there will be a discounted locking fee of £4.00 each way = £8.00 which is payable by cheque to the BCYA on registration, we will then pass this on to CRT as a single bulk payment. To register or if you have any queries simply phone Gordon on 01453 811021
