Azores Hi! Cool for cat(amaran)s.

Six days from Horta. Over half under engine . Passing Cape Trafalgar now and entering a grey and rainy Strait.

Passed a good bit north of the missing yacht position. Grey and cold. Lots of whale sightings in the few days before and lots of shipping about. Guess we will never know what happened.

Anyway for us a pit stop to ight in La linea then bunkers in Gib first thing tomorrow morning then on to Barcelona.

The Gib Straits always have something to offer. I am watchi g a big tug going to the rrescue of a broken down rib with illegals on board. Behind is a large cruise ship......

That was a neat pit stop. La Linea. Nipped over the border in the evening to say hello to about a thousand people! Used to stay therecin gib for a lot of years.

Bunkers this morning or how to spend 2.5 grand!

Gib now fading away astern.

Barcelona bound!

Jeez 2.5 grand! Still, it's gonna be less than their comms bill if you're poncing about on ybw offshore Malaga? How you doing that? or maybe you posted a "Gib fading away" post and still in Charlie's? Good cheat. Or maybe Charlies is the reason for Gib fading away...

Arent these modern telephones wonderful. How do they do it?

Btw the iridium bill for a month is two hundred dollars. Bit of a squeeze when you can only charge 50k euros for a weeks charter.

Anyway thank goodness for mobile data and something to do when bored on watch fifty miles from Cabo de Gata. Which for once hasnt got the wind honking from the direction i want to go in.

Mrs Neptune has done the ironing.

The crack of dawn is a rather pleasant sight......

Two of our crew have left for leave and courses now so a bit more watchkeeping to do. But nearly there!

Its been entertaing explaining some things to our initial crew of two Spanish a South African a St Vincentian and me.

For example why the screen around the front of the helm should of ourse be named 'Rodger the Dodger',

Well that's another one done. Arrived at Puerto Ginesta 0400 this morning. Shifted at nine to longer term berth, all sorted.

27 days on the boat, 24 at sea. 4073 miles on the clock and a fab time had by all. Hoo ha!
