Good Morning all, we are looking at buying a day boat for use next year in North Wales (If allowed), we have had a Chaparral and a Sealine SC35 in the past, but are now tending towards outboard power for the simplicity and around 30 foot with bow thruster as I want to be able to use the boat single handed.

The Axopar 28 Cabin post 2018 version has taken our fancy with a single 300 Verado Engine, also waiting to see the new Saxdor 320 when it arrives in December.

Any Axopar 28 owners on hear that can share their experiences or any other suggestions

cheers

I have always fancied the Axopar 28. To me the Saxdor looks like quite a significant development. Obviously time will tell but it does look great, I love the idea that the rear sides drop down to create an amazing looking space at anchor....

Yes The Saxdor is interesting, the Cabin version will be available April ish next year, same design team as the Axopar, Paragon and XO boats so a good pedigree

Heya, no PM received but we do have a 28 Cabin (mk1 version) and its just brilliant!

For us, its pretty well close to perfect. easy to handle single handed, safe for crew working outside, great seakeeping, plenty of space for the two of us, a toilet, fridge, bed (of sorts), roof, doors and heating for when its cold. zips along at 32 kts all day long in pretty much anything we have been out in (upto Solent F7) and tops out at 45 Kts. Whats not to like?

The looks are not for everyone, fortunately they are for me and Mrs Z1ppy. Manufacturer support has been first rate and Axopar London are a decent bunch to deal with.

what would we change it for? a 37 of course!

let me know if you have any questions, i really should get around to putting something up about the boat and how we use it.
