HI,
I have started getting a strange Icon with number inside which I cannot fathom out. I have tried checking the manuals etc to no avail. The screenshot attached shows the blue shape north of my position when I got back to my marina at Northney which is hardly affected by tidal streams.
The Icon did pop up crossing the Solent today giving various readings from 0.7 to 1.2 with a position west of the boat. Is this a calculated drift with tide from the heading/COG? It cannot be wind as I have no wind instrument on the network.
Can it be turned off?
Any ideas welcomed!
Thanks.

Thanks so much.
In my 'new to me' Motor cruiser having moved across from sail, I bought an elderly Nimbus 370 and have partially upgraded the electronics with dual Axiom displays but as of now retained the old seatalk log/depth/speed and use a convertor to the new STNG backbone.
The transducer is buried between 2 engines and really difficult to lift and clean and it only started working recently which probably explains the new vector. My old Raymarine has solid coloured vectors for everything which explains my puzzlement that the tidal vector has changed but the heading and cog vectors are lines as before.
I guess if I didn't want it I can go to the display vectors and just turn off the tidal one as it is likely that until I get to reposition the transducer it will probably spend more time not working than working!

Yup that’s exactly what it is. Accuracy depends entirely on your paddle wheel calibration
Sadly despite a reasonably clean hull, the ST30 to which the paddle wheel is connected as a master has run out of headroom for the speed calibration correction value as at 1.5 it maxes out when about 1knot below actual water speed. I may move the connections to the upper helm where there is an ST40 slave and use that as the master in case, like my old ST50s, the calibration can go up to c 1.8 or match the SOG at slack water.
