Bernie on the way out of the Ore keep in the shallows all the way down river on the port hand side follow the e/s you will only loose a knot or so of sog. near the knolls you will pick up an eddy & sog will increase 2 > 3 kts.
with the right wind its a great sail almost hard on the wind beating all the boats motoring out in the tide

we left B'sea at about 7.45am. We woke up to a fresh SW and the promise of stronger winds backing NWly. Seemed sensible to point homewards. Did you like the clubhouse?

When the Gin pennant is flying try visiting 'The Dell' - just over the sea wall. Very friendly lot.

Must go and have a look at the extension when my season gets a second start.
