I swapped my old Redcrest for a newer model, one with the outboard bracket made of plastic and designed to make attaching an outboard considerably more difficult than the previous wood and steel version. I normally hoick the thing onboard but yesterday I towed it for a change. The old one used to follow quite sedately but this new one squirrels around like a mad thing. It did not seem to matter how long the painter was. I am towing from the centre point but there are other attachment points that could take a bridle. Do others have similar experience or is it just my particular one?
