Easy to work on 6 kts, similar to what the trainee military pilots work on for ease of speed per distance. Also on our chart a very good guide is length of fag box is 1 hour.

I've got used to planning at 4.2 knots. Over a long passage the calms and headwinds cancel out the favourable winds, and 100 miles per day makes planning easy.
